The Chowder Pot
The U.S.S. Chowder Pot IV is the destination for seafood lovers and people traveling from all over Connecticut as well as up and down the East Coast. The U.S.S. Chowder Pot IV has been the recipient of many readers polls over the years for the freshest seafood and delicious prime rib. The Promenade Ballroom offers the same great food for larger gatherings in a 10,000 square foot banquet facility.

We welcome transient campers and hosts guests on a nightly, weekly and monthly basis in addition to its seasonal residents. Located conveniently next to Granby CT on US routes 202 and 10, Southwick Acres CG is only 11 miles west of Springfield MA and 21 miles north of Hartford CT. SA is the closest campground to Six Flags and many local attractions. Close to the Rails to Trails bike and walking path, Southwick Acres has several beautiful tent sites for the active back to nature camper with a clean and modern bathhouse only a short walk away.

In addition to the showing of major Hollywood films, live entertainment has been added as a feature at the theater. Everything from magicians to comedians to hypnotists can be found performing at the theater in recent times. Mark Twain House & Museum
The Mark Twain House & Museum has restored the author's Hartford, Connecticut, home, where the author and his family lived from 1874 to 1891. Twain wrote his most important works during the years he lived there, including Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. In addition to providing tours of Twain's restored home, a National Historic Landmark, the institution offers activities and educational programs that illuminate Twain's literary legacy and provide information about his life and times.
Valley Falls Park
A gently rising terrain with light to moderate obstacles, this park has something for everyone. Hiking, running, bird watching and snowshoeing and cross country skiing are popular activities. There are many hiking trails. Ones that pass through ruins of textile mills and an old trout breeding farm, to trails that snake through the wetlands and meadows.
